Hello (enter name of family),

Congratulations on baptizing (name of child)! We are so excited for the newest member of our parish community and the newest member of the body of Christ!

Not only is baptism an entrance into the church, your child is now part of the parish family. However, like any family relationship, that bond will only endure if it is nourished.  And, although many people love and dote over little Junior, you might still be nervous to bring (him or her) to Mass.

With that, we want to let you know on the record: your family belongs at (name of parish) and is always welcome. Sure, there might be sounds or smells, but it is part of family life! We love hearing babies at Mass! The sound of crying is the sound of a beautiful new life, and gives all of us hope for the future.

So please, bring your family to be with our parish and nourish the life begun in baptism. A lot of young families like to attend our (enter time) Mass, but any Mass at any time is great with us. As always, you are in our prayers and we look forward to seeing you soon!

In Christ,

Hello (name of family),

By now you may have forgotten what sleep is, and are well into realizing the full responsibilities that come with parenthood. Or, you may be overwhelmed with trying to juggle multiple kids and schedules. Whatever your situation, we want you to know that you’re going to make it through!

We also want you to know that you are always welcome at Mass! No matter how fussy, or crazy you think your child is, we say: the more the merrier! It may seem like everyone is looking at you, but even through your pew neighbors might notice, there is nothing greater to hear than the sounds of life. In fact, your child being at Mass is a blessing to our parish and brings a smile to many peoples’ faces.

To meet other young families, we recommend coming to our (insert time) Mass, but whatever Mass is best for you works for us!

As always, we are praying for you (and hope you have plenty of coffee).

In Christ,

Hello (enter name of family),

It’s hard to believe, but it’s been a year since baptizing (enter name of child)! We hope you’re doing well (and that your child is sleeping well!).

If you’re feeling a bit rusty or unsure of ways to go about bringing the Faith into your child’s life, we have a number of resources available. We also have couples on our ministry team who have faced the same questions and are more than happy to help. Is there a time we can schedule a meeting or a call?

We also can’t tell you how much we love to see you at Mass! Hearing children present gives such beautiful hope for the future, and reminds us all that we can be a little more childlike. After all, Jesus did say “Let the little ones come to me,” and who are we to argue with that?  Please know that you are welcome at any Mass, any time.

We know that being a parent is a long and beautiful road, and we are here to support you in whatever way we can. Embrace the struggle, we are praying for you, you got this!

In Christ,
